Keeping Up With....my blog.

When Matt asked me "So, Ms. Catholic, what are you giving up for lent?" my first instinct of quick whit helped me respond "Sex." When really thinking about it, however, I came to a few conclusions:

As a confused Catholic (more on this topic later), most of my Lent experiences involve promising to exercise, or loose weight. Back in my younger days, I would give up silly things like caffine or chocolate (probably couldn't survive without that daily staple now..hehe). But now as an adult, I've come to realized your "giving up" doesn't have to be leaving a habbit behind---but possibly picking up a habbit.

So unofficially, my Lent resolution: To become a frequent blogger. And unlike other failed missions of Lents Past, this one is going to stick.

Naturally, right in the beginning of this new endeavor, work has picked up like no other. Because of a few unexpected circumstances at my place of business, the work load on the small staff has picked up heavier than before. I've found myself coming in before eight and leaving after five---quite a long day when a 2 hour round-trip commute is involved. Once I get home in the evening, cook my man some delicious dinner (sorry about the salad and lunchmeat sandwiches last nite, love), I'm ready to veg. out before falling asleep on the couch by 8:30. This issue really has been cutting into my evening blog writing.

So after starting my work day extra early today (picking up hand-knitted hats from an upper-age woman to give to our clients-----I love talking to kind people early in the morning) I've found a small window of me time before I dive back into my pile of work. So, here I go.

Like Travis Tritt sings about, I've had the "best of intentions" this week, so my bad for slacking so much!

The next time I've got that free moment, I'm going to blog on my currint Wedding DIY: My recipe book project. Through a surprise revelation with my friend Stacy, I've decided to request a bridal shower with a recipe theme. The inspiration for this was an awesome craft example found in Archivers during an afternoon bonding session with Stacy. Want a little preview? Check out this awesome arrangement of items:
